Sorry I turned you off the recipe, but really, it's slightly tongue in cheek, and you don't have to measure anything LOL The amounts I gave for the custard will fill a small pumpkin, the size of an average cantaloupe or honeydew melon. If you have leftover custard, just steam it alongside the pumpkin, in a small bowl. If your pumpkin's a bit larger, than then the custard will be slightly lower than the height of the melon. It will taste just as delicious.denise fletcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05307457105004478777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4125715246990444305.post-35809517977874290012012-11-15T16:45:14.446+08:002012-11-15T16:45:14.446+08:00I'm totally speechless and at awe when I saw t...I'm totally speechless and at awe when I saw the pic on AFC FB page.. Even though I've never seen this recipe before, or heard of it, yours is a beauty. As I was reading the post, I thought of the pumpkin in my kitchen until I read the line where I have to take a measuring tape to the market.. lol. I hate being precise, so I might put this dish on hold. Of course I put LOTS of pandan leaf in the custard to obliterate the egg flavour, which for egg lovers probably won't make sense *shrug* ROFL I knew I would come across overly fastidiuos as I'm usually quite relaxed about following recipes. But like I said, one of my quirks is that I hate having leftover filling or pastry or topping or whatever, so I always try to make sure any recipe I write is neat and everything fits together like a jigsaw. Maybe, I'm borderline OCD ;)

Say no more, this will be on the menu at our next meal together!denise fletcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05307457105004478777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4125715246990444305.post-87117691995612284262012-11-15T09:32:25.925+08:002012-11-15T09:32:25.925+08:00I must admit I have never tried this sankaya phak ...I must admit I have never tried this sankaya phak tong. Yours turned out beautifully and the pictures are stunning! I am sure the Thais will not complain ;)

I am sure this must be delicious combined with the fragrance of the pandan leaves. Will have to give it a try one of these days though I am not sure I can be that exact. Maybe, you can make it for me the next time I visit ;)Biren @ Roti n Ricehttp://www.rotinrice.comnoreply@blogger.com
